Building JetBlue’s first responsive booking experience

Project Context
JetBlue is well-established as a leader in customer service and in-flight experience. Their website, however, was less than user-friendly, causing issues with booking and ultimately leaving customers unsatisfied.
In 2018 JetBlue teamed up with Big Spaceship to design their first-ever fully responsive website and booking experience. The 3-year initiative involved design concepting, user testing, production, development, and more. The result was a successful launch that led to increased conversion, user sentiment, and purchases of ancillary products.

A streamlined interface prioritizes utility and gives users confidence.

Focused flight results
What was a complex grid is now a simple list. By building a fare switcher function we were able to significantly declutter the interface.

Shopping cart
Shop and compare easily by adding trips to your cart with the ability to purchase multiple flights simultaneously.

Saved trips
Users can now save trips for later, compare prices, and plan with friends and family.
